Malczewski's Lawn Care uses the following five steps for the professional installation of paving stones:

- Sod removal and soil excavation to the required depth for that particular surface
- Compact any loose subsoil with compactor
- Place a minimum of 6" of aggregate base, compacting every 2".
- Hand installation of paving stones based upon desired designs cutting pavers to fit.
- Restrain edges with plastic, metal or cement wedge.
- Install jointing sand by sweeping into cracks and water it.
- Lay sod or grass seed up to edge of new patio.
